For maintaining good speed of your site you must have good hosting, I’ll prefer you to just go for digital ocean cloud hosting. Here, you may start amazing plan with $5 only. It will provide you better speed than other. But they provide only unmanaged server so you must know the basics of Linux. Or you may also try asmallorange it is one of the better options.

So what WP super cache does?
It creates static HTML files that are served instead of the heavier PHP scripts from the cache in WordPress and makes your site smoother and faster. It has many features to speed up your site significantly.

You may enable this plugin, whenever you need. So no need to enable this plugin all time.
You can test your blog’s speed by these tools:

Awesome list. I’m kind of a noob in the WordPress world and I didn’t know that I can use a plugin to backup my WordPress site. My web host(www.rosehosting.com) offers free weekly backup which is great, but it is really good to have my own backup.

nice finding! I use a similar plugin which is called WordPress Backup to Dropbox. As the name says, it actually only offers to backup to Dropbox which is what I am fine with.
I have set it up to run once a day and besides the database it backs up everything located in the blog’s folder and what I didn’t exclude from backups.
I think in the end it doesn’t matter what product you use to to backups, as long as they are done and stored at a safe place. Too many people just rely on the backups offered by their hosting service.
